All May See Foundation is pleased to welcome Massy Safai, MD, to its board of directors. Her nomination was approved by the board at its July 19th meeting.
Dr. Massy Safai is a board-certified internal medicine and nephrology physician with 30 years of experience in practice. She obtained her medical degree in Paris, France, and continued her postdoctoral training at Stanford University Medical School. She served as an academic clinician and researcher at the University of California, San Francisco Medical School, where she was the director of inpatient nephrology at San Francisco General Hospital. She continued her career in private practice and volunteered extensively in free clinics in the Bay Area.
During her time at San Francisco General Hospital and later in local communities in the Bay Area, her primary focus was serving underserved communities and reducing health disparities. She specialized in disease prevention and improving disease outcomes for populations affected by minority status, poverty, homelessness, refugees, and undocumented individuals.
Massy is a passionate supporter of UCSF Ophthalmology Glaucoma Center and the All May See Foundation. We look forward to working with Dr. Safai over the coming years.
