Lap for Landon Raises More Than $25,000 to Support Gould Syndrome Research

October 20, 2026

A community comes together to celebrate Landon, raise awareness of Gould Syndrome, and advance research toward new treatments.

On October 10, 2026, more than 225 family members, friends, and supporters gathered for Lap for Landon, a special fundraising event organized by a St. Louis family to celebrate their son, Landon, and raise awareness and critical funds for Gould Syndrome research.

The event was an overwhelming success, meeting its fundraising goal of more than $25,000 to support research at UCSF Ophthalmology.

For Landon’s family, the day was especially meaningful. Just days before the event, he had been hospitalized in the intensive care unit. Despite these challenges, the community came together for a joyful celebration of his birthday and a shared commitment to advancing research into Gould Syndrome, a rare genetic disorder caused by mutations in the COL4A1 or COL4A2 genes that can affect the brain, eyes, and other organs.

In addition to the walk, attendees enjoyed 25 raffle and silent auction baskets, with generous support from families, individual donors, lap sponsors, and corporate sponsors.

Special thanks to the event’s major sponsors:

  • Superior Steel Supply
  • Take Part Foundation
  • June Jesse Memorial Foundation
  • St. Louis Scott Gallagher
  • Lou Lou Balloons
  • Cordia Plumbing

Funds raised through Lap for Landon will help support ongoing research led by Douglas B. Gould, PhD, at UCSF, whose work focuses on understanding the genetic mechanisms underlying Gould Syndrome and advancing discoveries that may lead to new treatments.

The All May See Foundation extends its heartfelt gratitude to Landon’s family, the event sponsors, volunteers, and everyone who participated or contributed to this remarkable effort.

Through their dedication and generosity, Landon’s family is turning personal challenges into hope for families affected by Gould Syndrome.

Together, we can help advance research and bring new hope to those living with rare genetic disorders.
